Summary

The works comprised the refurbishment of the Gainsford Theatre at the Weston Education Centre in the Denmark Hill Campus including the lower floor entrance, lobby and stage area, lower level seating, main theatre and A+V booth, improved acoustics, alternative seating configurations and upgrades to M&E and other internal finishes.

Specialist input and design was required when accessing the ceiling heights particularly for the strip out and then the installation of the M&E works. A crash deck was built with extensive beams to aid access safely which allowed for better quality and timely finishes.
