Russell Cawberry takes very seriously the potential effects our construction operations may have on the environment.
We have a comprehensive Environmental Management System which is accredited ISO 14001:2015.
Our Environmental Policy Statement demonstrates the company’s commitment to ensuring our activities from pre-construction, through the construction phase of a project and, where practicable beyond completion, are considerate of the environment and of a sustainable nature. We also have a written Sustainable Procurement Policy.
The Board of Directors set objectives and targets year on year to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce waste.
At head office we aim to recycle 100% of waste paper, we recycle printer cartridges and batteries, promote an ‘energy saving ethos’ and are aiming to reduce plastic waste.
Our construction sites have targets of 98% of waste to be recycled, and we are consistently achieving this. We have waste management partners who provide a waste removal and recycling service with monthly figures provided and reported upon at progress meetings and completion of a project.
