London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicines

Project Details

Client: LSHTM

Value: £0.15 million

Date: April 2020

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicines had a leaking entrance. The water was penetrating the entrance steps and ramped entry. The canteen sits below this entrance, it’s electrics and undercroft was affected by water ingress and staining to the walls and ceiling. We were employed to remove the existing stonework, fully tank the area and replace the stonework with new portland stone. All works were completed to the exacting standards of the client to the timeline agreed. The rest of the building has remained operational throughout. The close liaison between the school and our site management has made the whole process extremely smooth, to the benefit of all.
