Summary

This project saw the internal and external refurbishment and redecoration works including associated minor repairs and upgrading of mechanical and electrical services. This also included the partial replacement of kitchens and sanitary fittings and the replacement floor coverings throughout. Works were carried out in Manor Park Block D across 1-32 Ronald Rodd Rd, 21 – 23 Alexander Fleming Rd, 47 – 70 James Black Rd.

In total over 288 student rooms with en-suite, 38 student kitchens and over 1000 metres of corridor. All the kitchen surfaces were changed to Quartz. Works also included new sinks, taps, ovens and pin boards. The use of more vibrant colours in corridors was a new experiment. As well as LED lighting throughout.

The project was due to be complete in 10 weeks, but for the second time was delivered a week early in just 9 weeks.
