Summary

For the past 10 years, Russell Cawberry has had a specialist team based within UCLH providing the Hospital with a range construction and life-cycling services.

The work has included major structural alterations and expansion works ultimately to provide a larger Accident & Emergency department.  Across various phases we have provided alterations to existing wards and relocation of other departments to create the space required to enhance A&E services provided at the hospital.  The final element of the works saw the construction of an infill extension and the knocking through to the existing space.  Finally, a new state of the art MRI scanner was installed within the A&E allowing the department the ability to scan patients and therefore facilitate patient care without the need to transfer to other departments around the hospital.    In addition, we have undertaken a life-cycling programme throughout many areas of the hospital all in and around occupied wards and corridors.    All of our work has been without incident, the team work on a 7 day a week basis meeting the bespoke needs of each individual project. The Client and hospital teams of doctors, nurses and maintenance staff are consistently delighted with the level of service and quality of work they receive from our team and each phase of the work has achieved ZERO defects.

"In the time they have worked with us RCL have repeatedly demonstrated excellent relationship management skills which are essential in a 24/7 clinical environment." Director of Estates and Facilities Directorate
